Good morning, Elgin.

Today, Elgin hosts the fourth annual Love on the Lawn festival with performances by Legendary DJ Kid Capri and Chicago’s own DJ Sundance—festival founders Mike Page and Tyrell Thornton said the event will support local businesses and vendors.

Bright splashes of color are turning Elgin’s Jersey barriers and traffic cones into public art this summer—local artists are painting these fixtures at a paved lot on Riverside Drive near the splash pad and Festival Park, with the work set to finish in the coming weeks.
