Illinois will offer a temporary sales tax break on school supplies and qualifying clothing from Aug.
7 through Aug. 16. Gov. JB Pritzker said the tax will drop from 6.25% to 1.25% so families can save on back-to-school shopping.
🏥 Health
Illinois health officials reported 995 cyclospora cases this year, including 58 hospitalizations, and local health departments are investigating the outbreak while advising residents to follow food safety measures when handling produce.
