Good morning, Elgin.

An Elgin-area man named David Minard, 46, was charged with 28 felonies after federal and local police found hundreds of suspected explosives+bomb-making materials at a Kane County home following a delivery on July 16, and he remains in custody pending a July 25 hearing.

96-year-old Lou Perry of Elgin has his treasured Disneyland photos in the book "The Happiest Place on Earth" that marks Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.

He made many trips and captured hundreds of images over 51 years, and his daughter said he felt very touched to see his rare pictures printed—he believed that pictures outlast memories.
