- ➤ Kane County Judge Michael Noland filed a libel lawsuit against Geneva blogger Jeffrey Ward after a process server failed six times to serve him and a DeKalb judge approved alternative service by mail and posting - the lawsuit follows a Jan 31 blog post falsely claiming that Noland cheated on his wife and seeks damages over $100,000 with the next court date set for Aug. 6. This legal action comes as the judge seeks to confirm the proper notice was given to the defendant. Kane County Chronicle
