- ➤ Joshua Tree Community in Geneva received a 12-seat passenger van from generous donors to help safely transport its participants. The nonprofit, which serves intellectually disabled adults, said the van will be used for daily group activities—like field trips and volunteer outings. Kane County Chronicle
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A nurse from Advocate Sherman Hospital, Ashley Huizar, and four colleagues were on their way to a work conference when a wrong route led them near a two-car crash on Route 64—First Street near Sycamore in rural DeKalb County, where Huizar stopped to help a driver whose heart had stopped and performed CPR until paramedics arrived. - ➤ Around midnight Friday, a two-vehicle crash on I-90 near Harmony Road in McHenry County injured eight people—seven were treated at the scene and one was taken to an Elgin hospital after an Infiniti hit a Camry and rolled over, blocking the left lane until about 1 a.m. Daily Herald
