- ➤ Participants in Kane County specialty courts showed art at the Judicial Center in St. Charles that tells their life stories using vivid images like faces, skulls, stitches, and bright flowers. Judge Christine Downs said the art show gives court members—including veteran Robert Lundquist from Elgin Community College studying recovery—a chance to move forward by using art as a tool for change. - ➤ On April 16, artwork from participants in Kane County’s four specialty courts filled the jury lounge at the Judicial Center in St. Charles and told stories of recovery. Judge Christine Downs said the art show provided a creative outlet—helping participants share the journeys that led them to rebuild their lives. Kane County Chronicle
- ➤ The Fine Line Creative Arts Center partners with the Community Crisis Center in Elgin for the What Were You Wearing? exhibit that will show clothing and survivor stories to raise awareness about sexual assault. The exhibit will be held at the Kavanagh Gallery in St. Charles on April 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. and April 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. with light refreshments & support available from center staff. Daily Herald
