Illinois lawmakers are examining a bill that bans cellphones during class in elementary and middle schools while allowing limited use during breaks in high schools.
If passed, public and charter school districts must adopt new policies by 2027-28, with districts already restricting cellphones given until 2030-31 to comply.
🏥 Health
Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital unveiled a new Mobile Stroke Unit featuring a 32-slice CT scanner that can reduce treatment times by 35 minutes over regular ambulances (operating 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
The unit will serve the EMS area by delivering on-site stroke diagnosis and care.
