- ➤ Elgin will continue to house 39 former Tent City residents at Lexington Inn & Suites through the fall with state grant funding so the city incurs no extra cost. City Manager Rick Kozal said the city will add overnight security while it completes cleanup and fencing near the former encampment. Kane County Chronicle
- ➤ Tuesday’s vote had the Kane County board change zoning at a strip mall property on 33W624 Route 38 to let Cafe Parlay open a video gambling business that sells alcohol—neighbors and a nearby Geneva martial arts studio raised concerns about parking and child safety. Kane County Chronicle
