- ➤ Early unofficial results from Tuesday's Fox Valley school board elections showed that most current board members won in tight races — Andrew Dogan led incumbent Junaid 'J' Afeef in District 301 with 1,705 to 704 votes. Results from contests in Districts 303, 300, 158, 101 and 302 also favored incumbents while some final tallies are still pending. Daily Herald

- ➤ Sleepy Hollow voters chose Trustee Courtney Boe as the new village president after Stephan Pickett did not run for re-election, with Boe receiving 355 votes to Jennifer McGuire’s 169. Boe said she will share board packets before meetings and keep regular office hours — McGuire said residents can ask questions during board meetings. Daily Herald
