- ➤ Elgin police and a dive team searched the Fox River yesterday for clues in the cold case of Karen Schepers—a 23-year-old who vanished from Bentley’s on April 16th, 1983—and officials said the search will continue today with additional checks to narrow down one of six theories. Daily Herald
