Saturday, Oct 5th, 2024 • “Mexico en la Piel” a vibrant celebration of Mexico’s rich cultural heritage. This enchanting recital will feature traditional dances from some of the states such as Colima, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Oaxaca, and much more, each showcasing the unique rhythms, costumes, and stories of these diverse states. For the first time in Elgin, the program will also include a special tribute to the legendary José Alfredo Jiménez, highlighting his most famous songs and their enduring impact on Mexican music.
